I’m sure a lot of us feel this way but since we can’t get a redo, we can at least gawk at the numbers and tell each other what we would do with the cash. Let’s take a look at the top paid athletes in the world starting with A-Rod!
10. Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod): $27.5 Million
Besides the fact that A-Rod used steroids, he is still
considered to be one of the best all-around baseball players of all time. He makes the list because he signed a contract with the Yankees for a 10-year, $275 Million dollar contract, the richest contract in baseball history! That puts him at a comfortable $27.5 Million per year. He could’ve made millions more had it not been for the steroid use that defiled his reputation that made it virtually impossible to sign endorsement deals with companies like Nike, Adidas, and Coca Cola.

i hate NASCAR and share the same sentiments as the author. i work for a marketing company and alot of times we’ll do events at NASCAR races and i’m telling you majority of the people there i would classify as rednecks, i’d dare say ninety-five percent of the people that i’ve seen at the races are rednecks. its pretty universal dude… NASCAR equals rednecks… shit dale ernhart is a self proclaimed redneck…

I think the people whining about the salaries of English Premiership footballers should read this. Yes, footballers are overpaid, but they are still way behind what American sports stars earn.

How about Formula 1 drivers Michael Schumacher [$40 mil] and Lewis Hamilton [$35 mil] for 2010. And that doesnt include endorsement money. Seven time World Driving Champion Schumacher is the only athlete near Tiger’s earning power worldwide and is reported to be worth nearly $1 billion
